Lets put some pictures to the names, as we don’t just want to be seen as your accountant, but also as a key member of your management team.
Our team has a business-first skill-set and very much focus on the relationships we build and maintain with our clients by providing a tailored way of working that suits you and your business.
Andrew
Andrew joined the team in January 2016 from DWP after a number of years’ service.
As a qualified Accounting Technician and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from cross government activities and has an eye for detail second to none.
His previous experiences include project support of new government initiatives and development of service level agreements between government agencies to client relationship management of a number of regional budgets and reconciliation of monthly management accounts.
Andrew heads up our Accounting, bookkeeping and payroll so he is always on hand to keep us on the straight and narrow.
Andrew is a keen sportsman and a crazy fast runner with him not being far behind Mo Farah with some of his times so if he is not in the office, you’ll often find him with his running trainers on clocking up the miles.
Graeme
Having initially trained within a similar small practice for over five years before moving on to roles within PricewaterhouseCoopers and senior roles with public sector Graeme formed the practice in 2012.
Graeme is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has vast experience of having working alongside some of the largest companies in the world whilst also assisting start-ups.
It was these very different experiences that led Graeme to identify a gap in the market whereby business owners needed a ‘business-first’ approach when it came to accountancy. Having coming first from a business background with respect to his Dad’s forklift truck business; and combined with his accountancy and finance background, this became the foundation that the business was built upon and how the remainder of the team were brought together.
The business itself also wanted to stand aside of many traditional firms and instead focus on relationships and transformation rather than transactions so that collectively people could overcome struggles with respect to time money and freedom and in turn enjoy the journey of being a business owner rather than just be focused on the final destination.
Graeme too is a keen footballer along with a very occasional golfer but with him having two daughters means any spare time is few and far between.
Laura
Laura too is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has experience across both private and public sector in senior roles.
It was these role that left her to the role she occupies today where she is able to use these experiences across these two vastly different backgrounds to deliver a very personal service to all of our clients.
Laura is our Head of Tax so is the fountain of all knowledge when it comes to these areas.
Laura also has a young family and loves her holidays.
Lisa
Lisa is a fully qualified Accounting Technician and takes the lead in the office for being Head of Transformation Services. People often ask what this entails? In short, it is pretty much anything outside of accounts and tax where we transform lives.
Like Graeme; Lisa comes from a business background with her husband owning and running his own successful business so she brings a lovely balanced approach and accountability whilst being able to offer some fantastic business and financial insights to help businesses be the best that they can possible be.
Lisa joined the firm in 2018 and has been known to top up the ‘swearing’ jar more than most and always puts others ahead of herself both at her home with young family and in the office.
Feel free to ask her about her plane spotting fascination.
